A nice vehicle to have during camping, touring and vacations is a n RV. The RV was specifically designed to cater to people with activities like these. RVs can be rented or if you have the budget you can go ahead and purchase one. Or you can rent one like the ones at my San Diego RV rentals to see if you would enjoy buying one.
Rvs are multipurpose vehicles. It is always surprising what the RV can do for you and most people can’t wait to drive them around. Read on to get to know the RV better as the multipurpose vehicle.
First, it allows you to go out anywhere without worries. Rvs have all the basic amenities that we have in our homes. Things like cooking, sleeping, watching TV are just some of the basic things you can do inside the RV. The nicest thing about an RV is that you can be at home away from home. Many customers of my Campland on the Bay RV rentals tell me that is one of the favorite things about using an RV.

Discount Tires Are Not Always A Good Deal
Nov 10, 2009 More Saving
We all know that keeping a car maintained properly can be costly to say the least, so it’s no surprise that some people try to cut one of the costs with discount tires. Not just any tire can be bought as a discount tire. To help you get started, here are some things you should know.
Consider Tire Safety.
Discount tires are not synonymous with worn-out tires. When you purchase tires at a discount, you should expect a dependable, well made tire. In your search for the best deal on discount tires, check for tire made by well known manufactures.
You Need To Know Where to Get Them.
Discounted tires can be found practically anywhere. Tire sellers or dealers might promote their discounted merchandise by offering discount coupons to select customers or by simply posting adverts. The following are some good shopping centers that have an excellent selection of discount tires.
Neighborhood outlets in and around your home. Seasonal discounts may be provided for tires at these outlets. It will be very advantageous if you watch carefully for sales to be advertised.
Some retail stores or smaller independent dealers may have discount tires that they will run ads on in the paper or at an auction site. The downside is that these types of places can often be a bit risky. If the retailer or person selling the tires isn’t well known, you take a chance at dealing with a possible scam artist who will more than likely give you a shady deal. Auctions are great places to get discount tires, but you may want to educate yourself and gain some experience before shopping there.
Internet Stores are a Wise Choice, Here’s Why:
Shopping on the internet is easier and saves time. Just give the seller some basic information about what you need in a tire, and they will send the tire directly to your home. This way, you’ll never have to leave your comfy computer chair.
If a store has been around for a lengthy amount of time, you should be able to check out their reputation to make sure they’re legit. The bonus of shopping from a reputable store is that you won’t get ripped off. Also, just like any other store you should be able to get a warranty or guarantee to back up your purchase for peace of mind.
Besides shipping a good discount tire to you, a quality store should also provide some ideas or tips on how or where to set your tires up.
Now if you want to learn more about car tires, be sure to check out American Discount Tire or discount auto tire.

Buying Discount Tires - Some Tips For Getting Them Cheap
Nov 9, 2009 More Saving
Nowadays anything may be bought with a single mouse click in a website, so it shouldn’t be surprising that discount tire sales are rapidly advancing in the digital world of the internet. Buying your most favored set of tires from the comfort of your home has turned into something of a fad. All that you need is right there and the only thing that you need to do is to await a knock on the door signifying the delivery of your order.
Recent years have seen the wholesale spread of websites in the United States. These sites guide customers into a clear comprehension of their options, including cost-effectiveness and the guidelines of buying a tire online, before a decision is made.
Once you have logged into a specific website featuring discount tires, you will find many links relating to the tire sizes, tire types, purchasing options, retail store locations and much more.
There are other websites that include the name of the tire manufacturer listed alongside the sizes and types of tires that are manufactured for various parts of a particular vehicle. There are some websites that have different menus where a potential buyer can choose the options that they are looking for and the site will show them which particular discount tires are available. However, if you are still having a hard time deciding which discount tire to buy, you should send an e-mail to the tire expert on the website.
Customers also have the ability to make a telephone call to the hot line listed on the site or to chat online with their 24/7 support department. With all the information you can get from these sources, you will have the knowledge you need about the features of a specific tire and the other choices that you would need to consider.
There is also a wide range of quality and brand names available online to satisfy every consumer. The prices are updated occasionally also, increasing the opportunity for savings.
The only negative aspect of purchasing discount tires online is that you will not be able to see the actual tires prior to your buying them. But this is simply a small inconvenience when compared to the convenience which shopping from home provides. So, there are many benefits to be reaped from buying discount tires online, which means that there is no surprise that the number of customers choosing to make their purchases on the internet is rapidly growing.
Now if you’re looking for more info on tires, be sure to check out discount snow tires or Mavis discount tire.

Rv Paint-How to Find The Right Rv-Paint Shop
Sep 18, 2009 More Saving
If you’re looking to repair your recreational vehicle or just need a little RV paint to give it a fresh look, it’s important to find the right business to help. They should also have extensive experience in the RV paint and repair area.
When you start looking, you may want to search the internet for fast results. You may also look in the phone book under recreational vehicle or motor home. These options will lead you to the best advertisements for RV paint, collision, and repair centers in order to help you with professional advice.
One thing to consider is finding a company that offers a free estimate for an RV paint job or repair. This will give you the opportunity to look for affordable pricing and a high end customer service staff.
Another thing to think that’s good to know is their past performance. See if they can provide you with a past collection of jobs. Seeing how well they did will make you feel more comfortable about your decision. If they don’t offer anything like this, then you should probably go somewhere else.
Your recreational vehicle or motor home is your vacation and fun mobile; you want to give it the best care possible. Find the companies that can help you make your repairs and paint jobs in a timely manner but ideal for your taste and expectations. What you should be looking for companies with the highest quality equipment and an experienced staff.
One of the things that most people are and should be picky about is the color and quality of the paint job. Making sure there are no fish eyes in the paint and it has a shine of a brand new paint job is important. You do not want to pay all that money for a paint job that isn’t the same color as it was when it went into the shop.
You may be surprised when you take your RV to a professional, at all the different designs and options that you will have. This is actually a good thing but can cause a bit of confusion on your end as to what you really want. Make sure that you consult with the technician so that they can help you decide what is best for your RV. You might want to stay with the same thing that you have, or you may go outside of the box and get some drastic mural painted upon your RV. In any case make sure that you have the technician show you the options that you have so you are informed.
Having an auto accident is something that happens and is unfortunate. However, even after all the stress that you go through when the accident occurs you will get more trying to get it fixed. This is why you will need a fast and reliable place to take your RV so that you can rest assured that it is getting fixed the right way.
So as you can see there are some things that you have to take into consideration when getting your RV fixed and painted. Make sure that the place you take it is professional, and takes pride in their work and you will be happy just about every time you go.

A Few Easy Steps to Save Cash Buying a Car or RV
Sep 4, 2009 Save Money
If you are like most consumers in hard economic times, you may be looking for ways to save money on the purchase of your next RV or Vehicle. We hope the 4 tips in this article help you save a bundle on your next vehicle purchase.
I like to save with what I call loss leaders. 2 of the last 3 cars I have bout brand new have been loss leaders. This is the car everyone sees advertised on the front page of the newspaper, but when you call, it is always gone. If you just make friend with a few of the sales people, you can usually show up and buy this car a day before the ad goes out in the newspaper. This can allow you to buy 30 to 40% below MSRP. I bought a brand new Chevy Silverado this way for $11,500, when the MSRP was almost $19,000.
Negotiate price fiercely as well and the amount of your trade in. Never negotiate on the basis of a monthly payment. (You should be paying cash anyway.) Often dealers use a low monthly to hide the fact that the vehicle is overpriced or that they are giving you nothing for your trade in so be careful.
Want to save 30 to 50% on the total price you pay for the car or RV, then the easiest way to do this is to pay cash. The benefit to paying cash is that it forces you to buy on the car you can afford. Also after buying it, you can start saving your monthly payment and thus have your interest working for your money instead of against it for the next 5 years. It is amazing that you can eventually use this technique to get a Cadillac for the price of a KIA.
Shop and compare pricing before you buy. It is relatively easy to find a great deal online. See if you can use this on a local level to leverage a lower sales price on the purchase or your next car, truck, or RV. If you choose, you can even save money buying online because these dealerships have a smaller overhead and can offer you very competitively priced models.

Find the best prices. Once you get some more information and you feel that you are ultimately ready to start buying, you need to look at prices. Look at various makes and models of used RV’s and see how much you can get for your budget. You may need to save up some more money if you are looking for something a bit more high class. The Portable Garage -an Instant Solution
Jul 1, 2009 More Saving
Ease, flexibility and portability are some of the characters we look for when getting a portable garage. The portable, or instant, garage is a favorite option among those who want to protect their vehicle from the elements, or just need more storage, but are unable, or unwilling, to erect a permanent building.
There are many benefits of a portable garage. The most obvious is that it IS portable, and when you go, or move, your garage goes with you. One of the biggest reasons for getting a portable garage is simply an economic reason.
High quality canopy shelters for cars are available for a few hundred dollars, and fully enclosed garage shelters can cost up to $1500. Compare that to what it would cost to construct a garage and the instant garages are a very attractive option. Even the largest 3 car, or RV shelters are only a fraction of a conventional garage.
The speed of putting the shelter together is another real benefit. Some of these garages are sold as “instant” garages. While they don’t pop up and set up themselves, they are designed to be assembled easily, quickly, and inexpensively.
Setting up a standard size of 10 by 20, or 12 by 20 portable garage can be done in a few hours. There is no need for drilling, digging, cutting or otherwise struggling. Even the large 3 car garages can be set up within a day. And, they can be taken down and moved just as easily.
Portable garages are built for portability, but with modern sturdy and strong materials, they are also built for long term use.

How You Can Go About Living In An RV
Jun 24, 2009 More Saving
Did you ever consider the peaceful yet adventurous lifestyle you could lead by living in an RV? It is such a tempting thought, yet for some, it may seem daunting. The very idea of having no real roots can be overwhelming - but it does not have to be like that any longer. Look at all of the people leading this lifestyle right now. They are succeeding - and you can too, by following some advice designed to make an RV a home and life on the road a stress free adventure.
This is a big undertaking, though, so it pays to consider both the pros and the cons. You might come to the realization that while extended RV trips are nice, you would rather remain in your own home. Remember, houses do have some advantages over campers and RVs. But you always have to remember that you will always be able to go back to your house. It will always be there for you.
Whenever you live in an RV, there is absolutely no backyard that you have to keep up. That alone is one thing that is incredible, as most people hate yard work so that might be a pro for you. No more gutters, driveways to clean out or you will not even have any neighbors. Those can go be pros or cons, no matter which way you look at it.
Now, this next piece of advice is more conjecture and opinion, but it still goes a long way. A lot of the people who live full time in the RVs claim that they feel physically and mentally healthier and happier. They do not have any deadlines, they do not really have any stress. You have to remember that recreational vehicles are not like they used to be some years ago. You no longer have to rough it when you live or stay in one of them.
A lot of people are also worried that they will fall out of contact with their family, their friends, and their colleagues. This is no longer true either. It is extremely easy to stay in contact with anyone these days. Remember, you can get the internet practically anywhere, cell phones get service in most places, and you can also make use of those mailboxes on the corner.
Still, some of the practicalities of life still need to be addressed, especially if you still have property or do not fully own your recreational vehicle yet. Meaning, there are bills to pay, there is banking to do, you may have to visit the doctor. The internet and increasingly advancing cell phone technologies make all of that easier than it has ever been.
The internet is definitely something that is incredible - if you have a laptop and do not have the means to quit bringing in money, there are a ton of different home-based businesses available that just need an internet connection. So wherever you park your RV that night, you can still work!
Clearly, living in an RV is not what it used to be. Weigh the advantages and disadvantages. It can be a lot of fun, but it has to feel like the right lifestyle to you.
