Black Balloons Energy Saving Campaign
Dec 29, 2008 Save Energy
Top Sites For Money Saving Tips:
YOU HAVE THE POWER. SAVE ENERGY.
Climate change is happening now and you can do something about it.
The ‘You have the power. Save Energy’ campaign is encouraging all Victorians (Australia) to save energy at home to cut greenhouse gas emissions and reduce the impact of climate change.
You may have seen the balloons featured in the campaign. Each represents 50 grams of greenhouse gas. Every Victorian household produces over 12 tonnes (240,000 balloons) of greenhouse gas emissions each year.
By saving energy, you’ll save money, as well as help protect our environment from the impacts of climate change.
For further information about how you can save greenhouse gas, energy and money visit www.sustainability.vic.gov.au

you know what, though? the big flaw with global warming is that it says that CO2 rises, which means that it must be lighter than air, right? Well… not so true. Carbon Dioxide is actually heavier than air (152% heavier to be exact)

You idiot. So Al Gore uses a jet that means you shouldn’t do anything about your emissions? At least he is trying to get the message out. The people he reaches probably off sets whatever emissions his jet may produce.
Oh and by the way. Ex vice presidents are not allowed to use regular jets because they are protected by the Civil Service.

Please, someone with CGI experience make a video just like this of Al Gore’s jets taking off!

Biodegradable balloons are readily available in Australia, so they only need a few while CGI/FX can add more to the video. It is a great message!

Brilliant!
December 29th, 2008 at 12:01 am
….. So, in order to raise awareness about saving the environment… they blew up a bunch of non-biodegradable balloons and set them loose?
